Meet Britney Knight

Britney Knight has quickly become family since our move to Nebraska.   Not only is she a joy to work and collaborate with, she is also EXTREMELY patient and forgiving when I always mess something up each show that involves here (ie:  Ignore the misspelling of her name on our poster...UGH!).

Meet the Performers: Devin Shakers

Cherubs, I am super excited to introduce you to one of our amazing performers for  MYL Presents: HOMO FOR THE HOLIDAY at the PANIC BAR, this SATURDAY 12/17/2016 at 9:30pm.   

Meet Devin Shakers:

Devin Shakers is coming to us form Jones Street Station in Sioux City, IA.  I am THRILLED that he is back at the Panic.   Devin always brings unique and interesting performances and is one of my favorite performers in the midwest! 

In his own words:

“Devin Shakers is back for his fourth time performing at The Panic, and third time as part of Mrs. Yuka Layme’s productions. Devin is the current reigning Mister Jones Street Station in Sioux City, Iowa and also serves as the co-show director. Devin is a regular performer at Jones Street Station and Club David in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. It’s an honor to be back with Mrs. Yuka Layme and performing once again at The Panic. It has become my home away from home. Thank you to the staff of The Panic, the audience and Mrs. Yuka Layme for inviting me back. December marks my one year anniversary of performing, I’ve learned a lot, and the most important thing I’ve learned is that you don’t necessarily have to always be the best, but always give heart, effort, and most of all have fun.”

Meet Duin Damage

Duin Damage is our special guest from Omaha, NE.  My gal pal Muffy Fishbasket first met Duin on the streets from Chicago (like you do when you are a good working girl), and introduced us right before our big more from Chicago to Lincoln.  She has been so kind and welcoming as we have navigated our way through all things "performance" in our new state.  I am THRILLED our schedules matched up and this busy gal is able to be in our holiday show!

Happy Holiday Cherubs!!!

I hope you are all well and are finding joy around you this holiday season!   I know 2016 has turned out to be a bit of a hot mess, and I want to help to make it better!  Come out to MYL Presents: HOMO FOR THE HOLIDAY at the PANIC BAR, this SATURDAY 12/17/2016 at 9:30pm.   There is a $5 cover and remember...The Panic is a Cash bar, but there is an ATM on site.

We have an amazing line up of performers for you that includes special guests from Sioux City, IA & Omaha, NE, and a great variety of performance styles!  A touch of traditional lip sync, live singing, burlesque, and comedy routines!

Cherubs!!! I am super happy to announce that Mrs Yuka Layme & Amanda Lynn will be hitting the road!  We will be ending 2016 the way it begin... BACK IN CHICAGO!   That's right, we will be performing as part of the house cast for TWO amazing shows at UPTOWN UNDERGROUND.  This is one of the most amazing venues I have ever performed in!  I am so honored to be asked to perform again with some of Chicago's premier Burlesque & Variety entertainers!  Check out the links before for more information and to buy tickets so YOU can be part of the fun!

Let's help raise some money for an amazing organization!   One of my dear Cherubs Laura Davies raises money every year for the Alzheimer's Association with her family by creating a haunted attraction called CREEPING TOWARDS A CURE.  If you are looking for something to do Halloween night, check them out!  They have a fundraiser goal of $5000 and I'd love if we could help their family meet it!  I have personally been affected by this horrible disease on several sides of my family.

If you already have plans...don't fret...you can still help!  Laura is a bartender at THE PANIC BAR here in Lincoln. She has pleaged to donate 100% of her tips to the Alzheimer's Association.  As an ADDED BONUS... the owner of the PANIC has decided to match 100% of all of her tips for this amazing cause!  This means that you can unwind with an adult beverage AND help out an amazing cause!

Mrs Yuka Layme & Amanda Lynn are hitting the road! 

It looks like 2016 will be ending with a BANG as we have booked some exciting travel opportunities!  Our first announcement is a special day trip out of state to Sioux City, IA. We are THRILLED to have been asked to perform in Devin Shakers' Holiday Spectacular on Saturday 12/10/16 at JONES STREET STATION. 

You may remember Devin as one of our special guest performers from MYK Presents: QUEEN SEEKING as well as MYK Presents: HERE FOR THE BOO's.  We have had such an amazing time performing with him, that we are SUPER excited to check out his home turf!   He will also be joining us in for MYK Presents: HOMO FOR THE HOLIDAYS later that month.

Meet The Performers: Mrs. Yuka Layme

Allow me to introduce you to one of our performers for Mrs. Yuka Layme Presents: HERE FOR THE BOOS  ME - Mrs. Yuka Layme!   Super cheesy I know!

I am super humbled to be back at the Panic and thrilled they keep asking us to come.  It's super cliche coming from a Drag Queen, but Halloween is my favorite time of year!  I am over the moon thankful to all of our diverse performers who agreed join me in our Halloween celebration.  Like our past casts, this cast includes some of your local favorites, new performers, out of town performers, dancing queens, living singing, and all around shenanigans.  

I am already looking forward to next year...it's only going to get bigger and better!  Of course as a producer, I came up with WAY to many and costly ideas!  But, each show we are back for will morph into something bigger and better.   THANK YOU audience for coming out to support your local bars and your local performers!  You can't have a show without an audience! THANK YOU!

Why wait to vote when you can take care of it NOW.  This came from a wonderful organization here in Lincoln called OULINC. Check them out and sign up for their email list.  They do amazing things for our community and I am thankful they are around.

Early Voting Open Now!

Early voting has begun in Nebraska. Vote when it is convenient for you before Election Day, Nov. 8.

Here are the early voting dates and location for voters in Lancaster County:

Voting is at the Lancaster County Election Commissioner’s Office at 601 North 46th Street, Lincoln.

  • Monday, October 17th through Friday, October 21st 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
  • Monday, October 24th through Thursday, October 27th 7:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. Friday, October 28th   7:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
  • Monday, October 31st through Friday, November 4th 7:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
  • Saturday, November 5th 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. (noon)

Allow me to introduce you to one of our performers for Mrs. Yuka Layme Presents: HERE FOR THE BOOS.  Please meet Amanda Lynn.   Amanda Lynn is my partner in producer crime.  The ladies of the Panic just can't get enough of her.  I'm scared of a Lesbian revolt if I don't cast her.  It's a good thing she is crazy talented.

Amanda Lynn is your sweet girl next door, serving the best mouth in town! Her lip synchs are tighter than her ho-ha was before she went on maternity leave. Recently back in Nebraska from the bright lights of Chicago, she is eager to show you a good time! 

PS: she may look unapproachable at first...but don't worry, it's just her Resting Bitch Face.

Meet The Performers: Skylar Storm

Allow me to introduce you to one of our performers for Mrs. Yuka Layme Presents: HERE FOR THE BOOS.  Please meet SKYLAR STORM.  Mr. Storm was one of the first performs to welcome us with open arms when we moved to Lincoln from Chicago in May.  I had the pleasure of watching him win the crown of Mr. Alley 2.  I was very impressed with the energy behind his numbers and can't wait to see how they translate to the Panic stage! 

Meet SKYLAR STORM:

Skylar Storm has been in the drag industry for almost 3 years now. Skylar is the current reigning Mr. Alley and a former Mr. Great Plains Unlimited. He is also a female impersonator that goes by Anastacia Storm who is a former Miss Fresh Fish out of Sioux City, IA and a former Miss Drag Suicide. Off stage he works in retail management and is starting to pursue a career in makeup. Skylar's favorite food is sesame chicken. Skylar thoroughly enjoys his time on stage and hopes you are excited for what he has to offer for your viewing pleasure!

Devin Shakers is the current reigning Mister Jones Street Station in Sioux City, Iowa.  Devin started performing in February 2016, and is a regular performer at Jones Street Station as well as at Club David in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.  Recently, Devin became the co-show director of Jones Street Station, a position he shares with Kendra Stahr.

Meet: Persephone Shakers

Persephone is originally from Macy, Nebraska and has been performing for the last 3 years. What started out to be a one-time thing became a lifelong hobby. She has competed in several pageants and just recently captured her first state title, Miss Gay Nebraska United States. Persephone is all about high-energy entertainment and loves to perform. She travels to other cities to perform. She's excited to be apart of the cast!

Allow me to introduce you to one of our performers for Mrs. Yuka Layme Presents: HERE FOR THE BOOS.  First up we have the wonderful Dan Huntley!  Dan has been performing and producing locally for years!  I had the great pleasure to working with him earlier this year and I am happy that he blocked out some time to perform in our show!

CHERUBS!!!!  Time is flying by and it's almost showtime!  I can't wait to see everyone at the Panic Bar in Lincoln, NE on Friday 10/21 at 9:30pm for a special Halloween show!  I am super excited about the cast we have lined up.  I have worked up a couple new live numbers and can't wait to unleash them to the world! 

I am still in need for a great piano player Cherubs...so if you no of someone, please send them my way!  Mrs. Yuka Layme needs to bring you more of the live cabaret you have grown to love!
